Gamble by Felix Francis is a who done it, murder/mystery/action/crime book. Carrying on in his father's tradition, Felix Francis continues with horse racing as the backdrop of the stories. His father, Dick Francis published over 40 works of fiction in this genre before his death.
In this installment, there are murders that all seem to link together and have something to do with gambling, investing, and financial deals gone terribly wrong. The hero of the story is also a primary target, and he is trying to solve the mystery to save his life. The police are just a little too slow for his comfort.
I'll put this in the "fun beach read" category. Fun to read, well-written, but a bit forgettable. And that's OK. A good beach read is made to be forgotten. I still enjoyed it and it kept me occupied and entertained.
I give opinions on all sort of random stuff EXCEPT religion and politics...two of the most divisive topics on the planet. I give advice and answer questions (like an advice column), and I love the topics of all things spiritual and metaphysical, parenting and general life issues. I'll review products, movies, books, you name it. Enter your email address in the blank below and click submit to subscribe to my new posts via email.
