Movie Review: Jack the Giant Slayer
Jack the Giant Slayer (2013) follows the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. If you know that story, you'll pretty much know this one. There are detail differences, but the overall premise is the same.
It is rated PG-13(for intense scenes of fantasy action violence, some frightening images and brief language)I
sure wouldn't take really young kids to it. It's quite violent, and
the giants are plum scary. One little one was crying...and most of them
were fidgety and bored because I think the story is more complex than
most young kids have the attention span for.
As a grown up, I enjoyed it. Lots of action. Lots of great CGI. The giants are truly fantastical creations...both visually and behaviorally. Not for the feint of heart :-) Watch the trailer below or via this link.
Good review Willow. I would recommend seeing it if you're looking for a mindless action flick and you just want something to do for over an hour and a half.
